1996年 6月、病院に入院してからあらゆる出来事に無関心となっているセツミ。 2005年 1月、病院のホスピスとなっている「7階」に入ることになった主人公。 2005年 冬、7階へやって来た主人公は談話室で、7階の患者セツミと出会う。主人公は、セツミと会話ともつかないやり取りを繰り返す毎日を送っていた。 そんなある日、主人公は、父の車のキーを持ちだし、セツミと共に病院を抜け出し、あてもなく車を走らせるのだった。
